Pellegrini to Roma fans: “We’re not stupid players, we know things don’t work”

by

The situation in Rome has reached a dead end, with the team in 12th place and the team’s fans on the boil, repeatedly showing their anger by holding up banners urging the managers to leave the team, calling them “incompetent and traitors”.

However, the hiring of Claudio Ranieri seems to turn things around a bit, as he received a hero’s welcome upon his arrival in the ‘eternal’ city from the Giallorossi fans.

Immediately after his first practice, the team captain, Lorenzo Pellegrini spoke to the fans and responded to accusations of disrespect, stressing that the players fully understand the situation at the club.

Pellegrini’s response to the fans in detail:

I feel as bad as you do about this situation, but it’s not fair to say that I don’t respect the jersey. This will never be missed by me! I always showed respect for everyone. Everything!

We players are not stupid and we do not pretend that nothing is happening. We know things are not working, but respect for Roma will never be lacking. You can tell me what you want, but never that I lack respect for Roma. When. When!“, said the Roma captain.
