A video of an episode that occurred on Ed Motta’s show, 53, went viral this Monday (18). The reason? The scolding that the performer of “Fora da Lei” and “Manuel” gave one of his team members during his performance at the Rock The Mountain festival, in Itaipava, in the mountainous region of Rio de Janeiro. The singer was booed by the public due to the employee’s exposure.

Motta reportedly complained about the way one of the roadies positioned the music table near the piano. He also criticized the tuning of the instruments and even threatened to be fired. “Tomorrow, you’re out. Any roadie with the slightest knowledge would know this is wrong,” he declared.

Internet users harshly criticized Ed Motta for the embarrassing situation. “I’m shocked and disappointed with Ed Motta. He was at the show close to the stage! He said to the roadie: ‘You have to listen to music! Totally without bass! It’s the last show you’ll do!'”, reported an internet user in a publication. “Ugly. It was very bad,” commented another follower.

“Ed Motta crossed all limits at the show: he offended the public, treated one of his musicians badly and even had the nerve to want to teach music concepts to the people, while no one asked him for anything”, criticized a third. “I was at the show and I didn’t find the artist’s attitude of exposing the problems that were happening behind the scenes to the public to be elegant or respectful,” complained an internet user.

The singer responded to an Instagram follower, claiming that the roadies were unprofessional and made “serious mistakes” that compromised his performance and that of the band. He also apologized: “You’re absolutely right, I should have a sharper emotional intelligence (cockroach blood). I apologized for what happened at the show and I apologize again to you and everyone present.”

In June 2024, he became involved in a controversy when he stated that “anyone who listens to hip hop is stupid”, a statement that was widely criticized and led the singer to publicly recant. THE F5 He sought out Ed Motta to comment on the new episode, but received no response.
