Lineup: Alceu Valença and Xamã will perform at a Brazilian music festival at Ibirapuera

Alceu Valença, Xamã and Roberta Sá were confirmed as attractions in the first edition of the Turá festival, in the external area of ​​the Ibirapuera Auditorium (south of São Paulo) on July 2nd and 3rd. Zeca Pagodinho, Duda Beat and BaianaSystem had also been announced.

With a 100% national program, the event will feature at least 28 attractions, according to Time for Fun, the event’s organizer, which has not yet confirmed the entire program. But, according to lineup found, names like Caetano Veloso, Emicida and Marina Sena should be on the list.

The name Turá refers to the endings of the words opening, culture, mixture and rereading.

​This Friday (11), there was a pre-sale of tickets with prices starting at R$ 90. The sale of new tickets should be announced in the coming days.

According to the organizer, the aim is to promote, exalt and disseminate the plurality of the country’s culture.

“Turá appears to be a festival that celebrates the different facets of Brazilian popular music, which connects both with great and established artists as well as with independent ones”, says Francesca Brown Alterio, festival director at T4F and creator of the project.

“An event that brings all the plurality of what is Brazil and the Brazilian in its essence, whether through music, people, art and gastronomy”, says the executive.

The production also indicates that it observes the evolution of the pandemic to follow the safety protocols against Covid-19 and exhaust the measures in force during the event period.

The external area of ​​the Ibirapuera Auditorium has been the stage for musical events and, at the end of 2021, for example, it hosted a surprise concert by Mastercard with great names in Brazilian music such as Caetano Veloso, Alcione, Paulinho da Viola, Maria Rita, Liniker, Agnes Nunes, Rael, Luísa Sonza, Xenia França and Tuyo.

In Brazil, T4F is responsible for shows and festivals, such as Lollapalooza, confirmed for the end of March at the Interlagos circuit (south of São Paulo). Among the attractions are Foo Fighters, Strokes and Miley Cyrus.
