The year 2024 was remarkable for Tony Ramos. In addition to his professional success on TV and theater, he also faced a health problem. In May, the actor underwent two emergency brain surgeries and, six months after the procedures, Tony says he feels great: “Daddy in heaven is bigger and stronger, I’m coming new for 2025.”
He does not hide that the surgeries were unexpected. “There’s a moment when life plays a trick on us, right? I had to have surgery, then a second one. I can assure you, it was more than just a scare, it was a triple scare,” he said in an interview with Gshow
Tony Ramos, who renewed his contract with Globo in September, was hospitalized on May 17, after feeling ill at home and having to undergo a first surgery to drain a subdural hematoma – an accumulation of blood that forms between the brain and the skull. Two days later, he underwent a new intervention after presenting new coagulation disorders with the formation of new hematomas.
The actor took the opportunity to take stock of his professional life in 2024: “It was a beautiful year for me in this aspect. In January, I finished “Terra e Paixão”, a soap opera that I loved doing. António La Selva is a character that was left behind always in my life. I debuted my play with Denise Fraga, a national success, and I’m recording The Masked Singer Brasil, which will be beautiful, with the theme of Globo soap operas, to celebrate 60 years”, he said.
