The choice of artists is not random. All of them have close ties to New Orleans and are an integral part of the city’s music scene. Batiste will sing the national anthem, Shorty and Daigle will join the stage for “America the Beautiful” and Ledisi will perform “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” according to Variety.
Pulitzer Prize-winning rapper Kendrick Lamar will headline the Super Bowl LIX HalfTime Show on February 9, 2025 in New Orleans, the National Football League, Roc Nation and Apple Music announced earlier this year.
