Nick Cannon admitted she needs help after revealing she has been diagnosed with narcissistic personality disorder. The father of 11 said he exhibits almost all the signs of the condition and talked about how it has affected his daily life during an episode of the ‘Counsel Culture’ podcast.

“I still don’t fully understand it, but somehow I’ve always wanted to be tested for it. I did a bunch of tests”the 44-year-old said Cannon in “People”.

Narcissistic personality disorder is characterized by a pervasive pattern of grandiosity (in fantasy or behavior), a need for admiration, and a lack of empathy.

This disorder often leads to significant problems in personal relationships, professional environment and can even lead to severe depression. Understanding it begins with recognizing the basic symptoms. These often include a great sense of self-confidence, fantasies of unlimited success or power, the belief that one is unique and can only be understood or associated with special people, the demand for excessive admiration, etc.

After coming to terms with his diagnosis, the famous actor said he is working to become the best version of himself. “I feel like there are so many ‘labels’ out there, but it’s like I can take it and say, ‘Look, I’m healing. I need help”. I just embrace mental health and healing so strongly”he said.
