It transforms into one of the most magical Christmas destinations in the city Sunday December 1st on 19.00 the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC). The glamorous celebration, hosted by actress and director Smaragda Karydis, marks the start of the SNFCC Christmas World, which is made possible thanks to a donation from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), and has free entry for all.

On the first night of December, countless holiday lights are switched on, casting their glow on the plane trees along the Canal and the decorated fir trees that dominate the Agora. Stavros Niarchos Park is transformed into a dreamlike landscape with the Festival of Lighting Installations: four works of art by distinguished artists from abroad and two Greek entries captivate the eye by creating a choreography with the material light. The Fountains in the Canal also participate in the spectacle in their own spectacular way: they dance and light up to Christmas rhythms. The setting of her, par excellence, festive walk in Athens is completed by the Ice Rink in Kanali, which is waiting for experienced and non-skaters to twirl on the ice.

The appointment is at 19.00 at the Agora of the SNFCC where the stage is set to welcome VOX The Acapella Group, the first pop polyphonic group in Greece that uses the human voice as a musical instrument, and Sofia Strati, who with her charismatic voice will sing pop and R’n’B tunes, but also well-known Christmas songs.

The December 1 celebration will be broadcast online by ERT2, but will also be available on ERTFLIX.
