On the show Workin’ on It that she presents with her brother, Ryan Trainor, the pop star Meghan Trainor revealed that she “can’t smile anymore” because of “too much botox».

“I need help,” Trainor said with a laugh. “I ruined it.” To emphasize her rant, she then looked into the camera and tried her best smile. “See, that’s as big as I can smile.”

But her honesty didn’t stop there. Trainor also talked about her desire to get breast augmentation after having two children, as well as her experience with a lip flip. “Someone convinced me that if you do a lip flip and put [Botox] just above the upper lip, you’ll have a nice curve to the upper lip,” he said. “It wasn’t true.”

Fortunately for Trainor, the side effects of many “enhancements,” particularly neuromodulating products like Botox, lessen over time. This “wear and tear” does not affect the long-term benefits of Botox in preventing wrinkles.

Meghan Trainor is not the only celebrity who has spoken openly about her cosmetic procedures. Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande and Olivia Culpo are among the women in Hollywood who are creating a more honest dialogue around cosmetic surgery. And while not all have regretted their procedures, some, like Trainor and Courteney Cox, have “learned their lessons” through public trial and error.

“I think there’s a pressure to maintain your looks, not just because of fame, but because you’re a woman in this field,” Cox said in 2016. “When you’re growing up, it’s not the easiest thing. But I have learned lessons. I think I was trying to stay in the season and chase that. It’s something you can’t prevent.”

She continued: “Sometimes you try and then you look at a picture of yourself and you’re like, ‘Oh my God, I look horrible.’ I’ve done things I regret, and thankfully there are things that dissolve and go away. So that’s good, because it hasn’t always been my best look.”
