The famous actress and her husband were among the 1,500 guests who attended the opening night of the restored Notre Dame (Notre Dame, which will mean “our lady – our mistress”).

The Pinaults, one of France’s three richest families, pledged their donation alongside the other two families – which own the LVMH group and L’Oreal – which made headlines in 2019.
On the day of the fire, Hayek shared a photo of the iconic building engulfed in flames, writing, among other things, in her post: “Like many others, I am deeply shocked and saddened to see Notre Dame burning down. I love you Paris.”

Salma Hayek, 58, originally from Mexico, and Pinault, 62, met in 2006 at a gala at the Palazzo Grassi in Venice, Italy. In 2009 they got married and have a daughter, the 17-year-old Valentina Paloma.
