Barack Obama presented his lists of top picks for 2024. “I always look forward to presenting my annual list of my favorite books, movies and music” wrote the former US President on his social media accounts.

“Today I’m going to start with some of the books that have stuck with me long after I finished reading them. Check them out this holiday season, preferably at an independent bookstore or library!” completed. His favorite books this year are Intermezzo by Sally Rooney, The Anxious Generation by Jonathan Hyde, Stolen Pride by Arlie Russell Hotschild, In Ascension by Martin McInnes and Patriot by Alexei Navalny.

Booker Prize 2024 winner for her novel ‘Orbital’ Samantha Harvey is also on the list along with: ‘The Anthropologists’ by Aysegul Savas, ‘Growth’ by Daniel Suskind, ‘Someone Like Us’ by Dinau Mengestou and ‘The Work of Art” by Adam Moss.

Obama also revealed his movie picks for 2024, some of which have yet to be released but stand out as favorites for the biggest movie awards, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

His favorite movies are: “All We Imagine as Light”, “Conclave”, “The Piano Lesson”, “The Promised Land”, “The Seed of the Sacred Fig”, “Dune: Part Two”, “Anora”, “Dìdi”, “Sugarcane” and “A Complete Unknown”.

Also, the top songs of the year for the former US President are: “Texas Hold ‘Em” by Beyonce, “Lunch” by Billie Eilish, “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” by Shaboozey, “Million Dollar Baby” by Tommy Richman , “Too Sweet” by Hozier, “Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido” by Karol G and “Stargazing” by Myles Smith.

Through his post, Obama asked his online friends to suggest songs or artists he should listen to.
