Two suspects in the death of former Globo child actor João Rebello were killed in an exchange of gunfire with military police in Arraial d’Ajuda, Porto Seguro (BA).
In October, the car where Rebello was traveling was shot at in Trancoso (BA). He was 45 years old.
Through social media, actress Maria Carol Rebello, João’s sister, spoke about what happened.
“Today I woke up with this news. Since October 24th of this 2024 that never ends, I have experienced feelings and sensations that I could never imagine even if they existed. What a perverse, cruel and crazy world. Crazy and painful, so much pain”, she wrote in a publication that highlighted the news of the suspects’ deaths.
“Crime simply takes people away from life, from the opportunity to live. The lack of opportunity puts weapons in the hands of those who don’t know how to shoot, it causes a crazy war, a random war that affects anyone”, he reflected.
The men were identified as Anderson Nascimento Sena, known as Danda, and Marcos Santos Brito, known as Kuririn.
João was the nephew of director Jorge Fernando (1955-2019). At the network, he acted in plots such as “Cambalacho” (1986), “Bebê a Bordo” (1988), “Vamp” (1991), “Deus nos Acuda” (1992) and “Zazá” (1997).
