Babu Santana, 45, used social media to reassure fans about a car accident that occurred on December 23rd. He lost control of the vehicle when making a curve on the TransOlímpica expressway, in the west of Rio de Janeiro, and rolled over several times on the track. Despite the severity of the episode, the actor was practically unharmed, with just a scratch on his knee.
“You may have seen that I had a serious accident on the TransOlímpica. I was making a curve, and the car went backwards. I still tried to control the direction, but I ended up hitting the wall and overturned”, reported the actor on his social networks.
Babu Santana did not hide that he was scared by the situation. “I was very scared because I was in the middle of the BRT lane, and my biggest panic was if another car came behind mine at high speed. When I realized that I was okay, I felt that everything was ok”, said the actor, who praised the assistance from the expressway emergency team. “They arrived very quickly to help me,” he explained.
The BBB 20 participant took the opportunity to make a warning: “The seat belt saved me. Always wear your seat belt. I’m here giving you this testimony thanks to the seat belt. Everyone needs to wear their seat belt.”
The actor also thanked his friends and fans: “Thank you very much to everyone who sent me messages of affection! Gratitude to life and don’t forget to always wear your seat belt, because it was thanks to him that a tragedy didn’t happen to me”, he reinforced.
