There has been a lot of talk in the last few days on the internet about the entries in the National Final her Eurovision 2025 for choosing the song that will represent us at the Switzerland Song Contest in May. With a long post on her Facebook page, she herself decided to say what is happening to put an end to paraphilology:

“Although I don’t usually make such posts & after mature thought and conversation with my partners, I decided to tell you as I did some time ago with something that had happened in Santorini, things as they are…
In the media as well as in social media it was written that I and some other artists were cut off from the process of selecting a song from the Greek Eurovision Final and various other inaccuracies which are definitely not true…

In recent interviews I have stated my desire to participate in Eurovision and that I am searching with my team for the right song…

Also in more recent interviews I stated that I have absolutely no problem competing (as I had done in the past) but while I had been sent many pieces from Greece and abroad by very notable composers and I thank them very much for that, we did not manage to find the right piece and I didn’t sign up at all…
So how do I get cut from a contest when I haven’t even submitted a piece?…

I have said many times and I will continue to say that Greece is the country where I started my career, it is the country that raised me, it is the country where I live, I have my family and it is a great honor for me to represent it in the immediate future and to anticipate the well-intentioned comments… Yes, I had registered and was very close to participating with other countries, some years ago, but I have Greece in my heart and I want to participate in Eurovision with Greek colors…

This is what I wanted to tell you… But I want to end this statement on a happier note…
