Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt reach divorce agreement 8 years after separation

Eight years after separating, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt reached an agreement on their intense divorce process. The former couple reached a resolution on Monday (30) to conclude yet another disagreement that has been going on since 2016.

The actress’ lawyer issued a statement to the American press stating that she is exhausted from the legal battle and wants to continue the search for peace and healing for the family.

“More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Mr. Pitt. She and the children left all the property they had shared with him. This is just one part of a long ongoing process. Angelina is relieved that this part is over,” he said. James Simon.

The actor’s legal team did not comment and no further details were available about the agreement. At the end of November, the actress won a victory in court, which authorized the disclosure of several private documents that Pitt’s lawyers were reluctant to present.

In the opinion of her legal representatives, these documents were evidence of “false communications, lies to the authorities and years of deception” on the actor’s part.

Angelina stated that she and the ex-couple’s children were attacked by the actor on a private flight in 2016. The actors are also fighting over custody of their six children and a winery in France.

The property was acquired by them in 2008 and it was there that the then couple exchanged rings in 2014. The actor filed the lawsuit against his ex, regarding the sale of Château Miraval, in 2021, alleging that she broke a verbal agreement established by them by selling their share of the establishment to Russian billionaire Yuri Shefler.
