Businesswoman and influencer Daniela Fagundes, ex-wife of banker Roberto Setubal, asked Meta, the company that owns Instagram, for help to remove her ex-husband’s surname from the social network. Their separation was announced in December.
This Thursday (2), Daniela published a sequence of stories asking her followers for help in changing her username from “danifagundes.setubal” to “dani_fagundess”.
She says that when she contacted Instagram support, she was informed that it was not possible to make the switch. “I have contacted them numerous times and they say that, as my account is verified for notoriety, there is no way to change the username and I would have to lose my account”, he wrote.
Setubal’s ex-wife cited examples of celebrities who changed their username and kept the account, such as Aline Campos (previously, Riscado) and Gabriela Morais (previously, Pugliesi). THE F5 contacted Meta’s advisors, who said they would not comment on the case.
Roberto Setubal is former president and co-president of the Board of Directors of Banco Itaú. A former real estate agent, Daniela met the banker when she sold him an apartment in Jardim Europa, an upscale neighborhood in São Paulo. The marriage lasted four years and they have a daughter.
Currently a businesswoman, Daniela founded the women’s fashion brand D-Gaia in 2022, which has a store in the Jardins region. Setubal owns the brand: he holds 99% of the company’s shares and Daniela, 1%. Despite the separation, their business partnership will continue.
