Maíra Cardi reveals miscarriage: ‘Empty that can’t be explained’

Influencer and ex-BBB Maíra Cardi, 41, revealed that she had suffered a miscarriage. Pregnant with her third child, the result of her relationship with businessman Thiago Nigro, 34, known as Primo Rico, she discovered that the fetus’s heart had stopped beating after being admitted to the hospital with bleeding.

This Thursday (2), Maíra shared a post that brought together a series of videos taken at the hospital. According to what is said in the recording, she was eight weeks pregnant.

The couple was worried about the bleeding. During an ultrasound in gynecological care, the doctor says: “your baby is not beating.” According to what the influencer reports, the heart probably stopped beating three days ago, on December 31st.

Upon admission to the hospital, Maíra and Nigro suspected placental abruption. They were informed by the doctor that, in the period of pregnancy she was in — less than 12 weeks —, there is no placenta, only the gestational sac. Maíra’s gestational sac, according to the doctor, was stuck together, without detachment.

When they heard from the professional that there was no more heartbeat, the two were “a little stunned”, as Maíra describes in the video. “I don’t even know how to say what we felt at that time. But it took us a while to get our bearings,” he explained.

The couple also shared an intimate moment, in which they hugged after receiving the news. “Of course our hearts are sad,” wrote Maíra. “The longest silent hug. The silence that says more than words. We stay like that for a long time. It’s an emptiness that can’t be explained. And, at the same time, a certainty that He knows all things.”

She also said that the two told everything to Sophia, aged 5, as a result of her relationship with Arthur Aguiar. Maíra Cardi is also the mother of Lucas, 23, from her relationship with Nelson Rangel.
