Whindersson Nunes, one of the most popular comedians in Brazil, wants to stop working by 2030. That’s what he said in a recent interview with Angélica, on Globoplay. He reached this conclusion on the eve of turning 30, celebrated this Sunday (5).
Whindersson is tired of the rush of work and life as a pop star. He has said more than once that his mental health is not going well — and he can’t catch a break. He does stand-up, records comedy videos on his YouTube channel, travels around Brazil from end to end, dedicates himself to companies, releases trap music and even finds time to duel in boxing rings with professional fighters.
Over the last 12 years, the comedian has grown a lot and seen his career take a direction that not even he expected. His first successful video was a parody of the song “Vó, to Issorado”, which earned the comedian 5 million views in one week. Since then, it hasn’t stopped taking off.
Today, it has more than 100 million fans on the internet (between channel and social network). But not even the public’s affection freed him from depression, a disease that he controls, but which he says “comes and goes.”
His transparency on social media, his constant quest to improve and the fact that he doesn’t take himself too seriously resonate with his thousands of fans, which makes him one of the most beloved people in the country. Check out interesting facts about him above.
