Evlampia Revi and Giorgos Kourdis live from Ormenio Evros captured the everyday life and problems experienced by the residents of rural Evros. Demographics, desertification, lack of infrastructure are just some of the problems the show’s camera highlighted in its premiere. However, the unspoiled Evros are the shocking images of the region and especially its inhabitants who, despite the difficulties, remain, keep the villages alive, guard the borders of our country and share their stories. Humane, optimistic, stories that deserve to be heard, giving a step to the Greeks of the region.

Today at 2:45 p.m., “Where Greece is” continues its journey to Evros and goes to the much-sung Didymoteicho, turns back a year and a half and walks through the painful Forest of Dadia. What did the giant fire of 2023 leave behind besides falling debris? Talking to the people, who know the Forest better than anything, we reveal what still threatens this area that once gave life to the whole of Evros.

We go to the Silk Soufli, play catchball with the Hebrew athletes and have fun with the locals. Returning to Didymoteicho, we meet our Olympic champion Kostas Gatsioudis, to tell us how someone can train for months in the… dark.

Also, live connections with the village of Dravisko Serron, Nymphaeum and a shocking trek in the Petrified Forest of Evros.
