Datena on Gusttavo Lima in politics: ‘Don’t get into this cold, I’ll get screwed’

Former candidate in the elections for Mayor of SP, presenter José Luiz Datena advised singer Gusttavo Lima to give up on entering politics.

In a chat on the program Fofocalizando (SBT), Datena recalled the troubles she went through during her candidacy.

“Don’t get into this cold, you’re a beautiful, wonderful singer, everyone likes you. Politics is good for those who are already in politics and know the world. Don’t get involved with these guys, because you dance, you dance well. For To enter, the guy has to have a thick skin”, he began.

“I didn’t know I would get screwed so big, I got screwed big. If I were Gusttavo, I would be singing viola style”, he added.

Lima announced that he will run for President of the Republic in 2026. With a year and a half to go until the elections and still without a party, he decided to put his own name forward.

The singer’s publicist confirmed to the F5 the countryman’s intention in the elections for the highest authority in the Executive Branch. “The singer’s name is available, should the country need it.”

“Brazil needs alternatives. I’m tired of seeing people in need without being able to do much to help. I myself faced many difficulties in life, but I took advantage of the opportunities I received. I came from a very humble condition, I even lost three teeth, but, of course, I was able to get treatment, a condition that many people don’t have”, said Gusttavo in an interview with Metrópoles.

An open supporter of Jair Bolsonaro (PL), he still doesn’t know if he will have the support of the former president. “Enough of this story of right and left. It’s not about that, it’s about making a gesture for the country, in the sense of putting my knowledge to benefit a project to unite the population”, said the singer.
