About to become a father for the first time, ‘This Is Us’ actor revisits destroyed house in LA

One of the people, among many others, whose house was hit by the mega fire in Los Angeles is Milo Ventimiglia, who played Jack on “This Is Us”. After firefighters controlled the fire, the artist revisited the neighborhood where he lived and gave an interview to the American channel CBS.

He and his wife, Jarah Mariano, are expecting their first child and she is about to give birth. The couple had to leave in a hurry and were unable to take the baby’s crib and other items already purchased for the child.

“It’s completely burned down. You start thinking about all the memories in different parts of the house, you see your neighbors’ houses. Your heart breaks,” he said, visibly emotional.

The residence was in Pacific Palisades, the celebrity neighborhood and where the main focus of the fire is concentrated. Even though he followed the progress of the flames through security cameras, the actor said in the interview that it was surprising to see the destruction in person.

Milo also recalled the character’s ending in “This Is Us”, where he dies after inhaling smoke during a fire. “Life imitates art. But we have good friends and good people and we will manage. Wife, baby and dog, that’s the most important thing.”

Other artists who will need to rebuild a new home are Anna Faris, John Legend, Anthony Hopkins, Harrison Ford, Adam Brody, Leighton Meester and Ben Affleck.
