The CoMA festival confirmed this Wednesday (16) some of the attractions for the fifth edition, which takes place from August 4th to 7th in Brasília. Tasha & Tracie, Don L, Urias and ‘akhi huna perform on August 6th, while Gal Costa, Lamparina and Primavera, Martinha do Coco and Puro Suco make up the program on August 7th.
The event, held in a hybrid format in 2021 with workshops and lectures, has its return with concerts to occupy the lawn of Funarte (currently Ibero-American Cultural Hub), Clube do Choro and the city’s planetarium.
Tickets for the general public are now available on the Sympla website, with prices ranging from R$40 to R$80.
In 2020, the festival introduced a new meaning to its abbreviation: Music and Art Consciousness, replacing the old motto Music and Art Convention.
The fourth edition of CoMA, which would be held from July 16 to 19, 2020 in Brasília, had to be postponed because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
In 2019, CoMA gathered around 25,000 people in Brasília — in places such as Funarte’s lawn, Clube do Choro and the planetarium — according to the organization.
The public was able to watch names such as Ney Matogrosso, Maria Gadú, BaianaSystem, Liniker e os Caramelows, Djonga, Francisco, el Hombre, Scalene and Luedji Luna on stage.
