The news of the death of actor Yiannis Lambropoulos who passed away, leaving behind an indelible mark on the theater, as the patrisnews.

Born in Pyrgos, he was the fourth son of Themistocles and Angeliki Lambropoulou. He studied at the National Theater Drama School, charting a remarkable course in theater, television and the arts in general. He was a key executive of Manos Katrakis’ popular theater, while in the 1980s and 1990s he worked with the National Theater, participating in a number of remarkable producers.

Later, Lambropoulos continued his career in Cyprus, where he worked with the theaters “One” in Nicosia and “Praxis” in Limassol.

His artistic presence was characterized by the interpretation of important roles in theater and television. On the small screen he starred in the series:

Beyond his artistic journey, Yiannis Lambropoulos was a kind and dear man, who characterized an innate kindness. His mother, Angeliki Lambropoulou, also known as “Lady-Kiki”, was a woman who inspired him and many around her with her insight and courage. During the Occupation, she helped many of her fellow citizens, risking her life. Indeed, he was a source of inspiration for Elias, a playwright, Pavlos Matesi in his novel by the dog.

Yiannis Lambropoulos leaves behind a significant legacy, as well as memories that will accompany all those who were lucky enough to meet him. With his authenticity and talent, he was a model of creation and offerings.

His loss is great, but his memory will live through his work and generosity.
