Multi-award winning rapper Kendrick Lamar will share the stage during his halftime performance Super Bowl LIXwith the award-winning singer SZA.

The collaboration of the two superstars was revealed through an impressive teaser released by Apple Music. In the video, the famous rapper walks around an American football field and while talking on his cell phone, mentions that he plans to bring one more artist for the show.

“I was thinking of having a guest”he said characteristically before SZA interrupted him and “threw” him a blue drink in slow motion. The Super Bowl LIX halftime show, which will take place on February 9 at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, is expected to be one of the most impressive in recent years with the two artists starring.

According to the AP, SZA was a former collaborator of Lamar’s record company Top Dawg Entertainment. He also features on the rapper’s recent album ‘GNX’ which dropped out of nowhere in November 2024 on the songs ‘Gloria’ and ‘Luther’. Their previous hits include the Oscar-nominated ‘All the Stars’ and ‘Doves in the Wind’.

Roc Nation and Emmy Award-winning producer Jesse Collins will executive produce the show. In addition, pgLang, the company the star founded with director Dave Free will handle his appearance under the direction of Hamish Hamilton.

In the spring the two artists will tour North America. The “Grand National Tour” will start on April 19 from Minneapolis and will end on June 18 in Washington, DC, passing through 19 cities.
