It is like a melancholy being that Father Fábio de Melo defines himself. A week after venting on a strong depression that has been facing, the priest posted a video on social networks in which he reports the emotions.

“It was on the edge of the abyss that I’ve always walked, from a boy. Everything in excess. Too much joy, too sad, too much hatred. They already accused me of being very moved. They spoke as if it were a defect, but I know it is not . “

Last week, he told a multitude of faithful that pain is so strong that it prevents him from performing his routine and that he had only one thought in life: the desire to stop living.

“The one who leads my soul by the hand is them, the emotions. From this particularity my riches are born, but also my limits. When the sadness comes, I am invaded by the conviction that it will be definitive,” he continued. “When I feel that I am removing my desire to live, I need to give my brain a chemical protection, a help for the sick excesses to be creative excesses again.”

Through social networks, he received a tribute from writer Fabrício Carpinejar, who says he wants to be friends with the priest.

“Depression is not a joke. Everything is I want dark, even the sun. You have the gift of vulnerability. Getting where it has arrived is for a few. I just wanted to say that everything is okay when it is not well. Today is shadow, tomorrow will be light.”

“I cried here. The tear of recognition, of being able to read myself in every written word. Thank you, I love you,” replied the religious.
