On the day of celebrating love, famous couples exchanged honors on social networks with photos and statements.

Barack Obama posted a record alongside Michelle and stressed the more than three decades of marriage to the former first lady. “You still take my breath. Happy Valentine’s Day,” he wrote.

Already Michelle has already said that she was sure that she can always count on her husband. “You have always been my rock and always will be.”

Prince William and Kate Middleton’s official account shared a photo of the royal couple, in which they appear hand in hand. The duke kisses the Duchess’s cheek, and the caption is a heart emoji.

In the United States and in much of Europe, February 14 is the same day as Valentine (Valentine’s Day). In the medieval period, with the consolidation of Catholicism, Christians were persecuted by the Roman Empire.

In the 3rd century, a Roman priest named Valentine began to face the Empire and fight for marriages, going against what Emperor Claudio 2nd wanted. He said that the soldiers could not get married so as not to be unprepared for the battles. Valentine organized celebrations in hiding and said that marriage resignified life.

June was the month chosen to celebrate boyfriends in Brazil by publicist João Doria, father of businessman, journalist and former governor of Sao Paulo, João Doria Jr. He was hired by a store to improve mid-year sales.
