Pop Star Sakira was hospitalized in Peru with a stomach problem and was forced to cancel her Sunday live in the Andean country, as the singer herself said on social media.

‘I’m sorry to inform you all that last night I had to go to the emergency for a abdominal problem and right now“, Shakira wrote in her post. “The doctors who take care of me have informed me that I’m not good enough to play tonight.”

The Colombian singer arrived in Lima on Saturday, to appear there for the first time for the first time now. The videos posted on her account showed hundreds of fans to welcome her to the airport.

‘I hope to be better until tomorrow and get me out of the hospital as soon as possible to be able to do the live I have prepared for all of you“, Shakira said in her post.

Shakira is known in the Spanish -speaking world for successes such as “La Tortura” with Spanish Alejandro Sanz or its disc part in 2023 against her former partner Gerard Pique, produced by Argentine Dj Bizarrap.

Her most popular song to date is “Hips Don’t Lie”, with Wyclef Jean, with Shakira’s characteristic rotating dance moves.
