Full of shine and impressive appearances were this year’s British Film Academy Awards Ceremony (BAFTA).

The 78th Awards, which took place at London’s Southbank Center, was hosted by the Scottish actor and protagonist of “Doctor Who” David Tennant and included musical performances by the 1990s Boy Band, Take That and “Wicked” “Jeff Goldblum.

However, notable was the absence of William and Kate, who are with their children on their privately owned island in the Caribbean, Mustique, for the six -month school holiday. The royal couple last watched BAFTA in 2023.

The guests’ costume choices were modestwith most glamorous stars of television and cinema choosing monochromatic appearancesin black or white. This simple style has been adopted on the red carpets this year after the devastating fires in Los Angeles.

Jeff Goldblum, along with actors Gwendoline Christie and Kelly Rutherford, adopted a total black look. In contrast, Pamela Anderson wore a white dress from Jacquemus’s spring collection just a few weeks ago in Paris.

Correspondingly, Cynthia Erivo put a lace Louis Vuitton dress. Mikey Madison and Saoirse Ronan have chosen ethereal, bridal white dresses – a nod to the romantic trend of fashion, called “Bridalcore” and has gained popularity in the last year, according to CNN.

The impressions were stolen by Ariana Grande, Timothée Chalamet, Demi Moore and Cynthia Erivo.
