Nicolas Cage is sued by ex-wife after son assaulted her

Christina Fulton, 57, a former wife of Nicolas Cage, 61, is suing the actor for neglect of their son, Weston Cage, 34.

Weston was arrested last year for hitting his mother and released after bail. Months later, he was arrested again on charges of aggression with a deadly weapon.

In the process documents, obtained by People magazine, Christina Fulton says Nicolas Cage was aware of her son’s mental health problem, but did not take any attitude.

“Weston has a long history of mental and psychological disorders, as well as a history of violent aggressions, beating and damage to various people,” says the process.

Christina still accuses the actor of being responsible for releasing Weston from prison several times, as well as encouraging alcohol consumption, even knowing her son’s history.

“Nicolas knew or should know that Weston was a serious and imminent danger to others, including the applicant, based on his documented history of violent aggressions, substance abuse and mental instability,” says the document.

The actress had a brief relationship with Nicolas Cage between the late 1980s and early 1990s. It was in December this year that Weston Cage was born. Shortly thereafter the artists separated.
