About two weeks after being discharged from the hospital, Preta Gil prepares to enjoy, within the possibilities, the Salvador Carnival with the family.
The stepmother Flora Gil confirmed the stepdaughter’s presence on Wednesday (26), at the press conference of Expresso Camarote 2222.
Flora highlighted the difficult months that the family has been experiencing the cancer treatment of black.
“You followed the fight of Preta and she comes to Bahia. With that, I already won Carnival. She leaves Sao Paulo, taking a plane and coming here, being here in Bahia, being here in the box, I do not know if every day, but this is important because it makes us work more happiness,” said Flora.
“We come from a year with a turbulence with the health of Black and now gives me a relief when I think like this: ‘Black is coming.’ Come as a balm for me. Here is the place she likes the most in the world, Bahia,” Gil’s wife told Hello Hello Bahia.
Preta was discharged on February 11, after almost two months hospitalized at Syrian Lebanese, in São Paulo. In December, she underwent delicate surgery to remove tumors. Black was diagnosed with bowel cancer (also called colorectal cancer) in early 2023.
