The events of the Patriotic Carnival with the two big parades are peaked today and tomorrow Sunday, where thousands of carnivalists are expected to broadcast, with their livelihoods and creations, fun and joy.

At the nightclub parade, which started at 6:00 pm They will parade the tanks of the Municipality of Patras and the members of the “Hidden Treasure” crews, but without their own chariots and are expected to present a spectacular spectacle with their original and atmospheric lighting, colors and fun, thereby giving it a great time.

Tomorrow Sunday, the big carnival parade will take place, which will begin at 2:00 noon. The parade will lead the carnival chariots of the Municipality of Patras built in the Carnival Laboratory of the Municipality and will follow the 165 crews of the “hidden treasure” with their tanks and constructions.

At the top of the parade will be folk music and will be followed by the 17 tanks of the Municipality – “Promotion”, “Carnival”, Anthian chariot with “Queen”, Eleni Bada within 30,000 cloves, “We will) the water of water”, “Gang Bank”, “Gang Bank” “Halogies”, “Bebis Carnival”, “Hare”, “Puppets”, “21 Cats” (2 Talks), “Journey to the Fantasy”, “Carousel”, “Circus Musicians”, “Dog”.

Immediately afterwards, the torrent of thousands of carnivalists will be poured, while 30 crews will be accompanied by their own chariots or large wheeled constructions. In the end they will parade the chocolate warfare tanks, with chocolates keeping the historical custom alive, sweetening viewers on sidewalks, balconies, and Georgiou Square.

Sunday’s big parade will be broadcast live by ERT 2 and will be presented by journalist Natasa Song, actor George Logaras and screenwriter, journalist and digital content creator, Panagiotis Markezinis.

A few hours later, at 9:00 in the evening, the closing ceremony of the Patriotic Carnival will take place in the Molos of Agios Nikolaos, in the North port of Patras. The central element of the ceremony will be the burning of the king – carnival, where through his ashes he is expected to convey the messages of the Renaissance and Hope, while a multitude of fireworks will illuminate the sky, giving shine to the carnival night. The artistic program to follow, co -organized with the Region of Western Greece, will include a concert with Klavdia, who will sing live Playmen covers, participating in the Playmen Live Show, as well as a concert by Above Suspicion Band as a Live Opening Band with choreography. The ceremony will be completed with a big outdoor party, with the music curated by two Di Jay.

In the meantime, Patras has begun to be flooded with thousands of visitors who want to live the carnival closely and take part in the big celebration. In particular, the fullness in the city’s hotels reaches 100%, and hotels near Patras also record very high completes. Due to the carnival events and the arrival of a large number of visitors, measures have already been taken in order not to cause problems. Specifically, by decision of the 6th Health District, the University Hospital, the “Agios Andreas” Hospital and the “Karamandanio” Hospital of Children have been fully operational, to address all the emergencies.

It has also been put in general on -call today and tomorrow, from 12:00 noon to 12:00 in midnight, the Northern Health Center of Patras, and will operate an outdoor clinic near Georgiou Square, with the help of the Hellenic Red Cross. For its part, police have taken increased security measures, with reinforcements from neighboring police departments.
