Athens has fun until the final fall and this year’s Halloween with an impressive carnival procession rising the city center
A large carnival “caravan” served the streets of Athens on Sunday afternoon to celebrate the climax of Carnival.
This is the carnival fiesta organized by the Athens Municipality of Sport and Youth Culture Organization (OPANDA), with the procession starting from Syntagma Square, under the sounds of the Athens Philharmonic Orchestra.
Then carnivalists from the “Forms of Expression”, a group of dancers with traditional customary carnival costumes from the International Dance Council – Athens Department of Cid UNESCO, Cretan Dance Dance Dance Group of Dance School “Terpsis Dance” Dragon, Giantomaskot, Stilts and the whole Bloco Swingueira percussions that gave the rhythm, crossed the surrounding streets (Ermou and Aeolou) scattering fun and joy to reach Kotzia Square.
There, the fun continued with DJ sets, and at 19.00 the Decibel Band will take the baton, with melodies from the pop and rock scene from the 1970s to the present.
