A list of non -conventional Greek islands that “win the battle with overflow” was published by the British Metro newspaper, highlighting Skopelos at the top between destinations from the Cyclades, the Ionian Islands and the North Aegean.

“Do you find it known? Skopelos was the location of the shooting for the successful musical Mamma Mia, but this did not seize it on the road to commercial over -exploitation. Its virgin shores are untouched compared to other corners of the country. You need to take a ship to reach, but at the end of the beautiful route you will be rewarded with the earthly paradise you will see. ABBA friends can explore all those dreamy places that are shown in the film, most notably the picturesque church of Ai John in Kastri, “says the popular newspaper that urges the travel public to live something different in 2025.

In the list of the best “lesser known” Greek islands that are worth visiting, the British newspaper still states:

– Paxos (breathtaking rocks, hidden beaches, olive groves, vines and thermal springs)

– Naxos (a must destination for history lovers)

– Sifnos (best known for two things: gastronomy and pottery)

– Ikaria (an excellent place to connect with nature, known for the slow rhythms) and

– Lefkada (the “Caribbean of Europe” for its amazing beaches).
