Preta Gil is hospitalized with urinary tract infection in a private hospital in Salvador. The information was released on Monday (10) by the medical board of the health unit in the Bahian capital.
The singer entered the Hospital Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on Saturday (8) for monitoring and medical care. According to the latest report released by the medical team, Preta’s health condition remains stable.
In the early evening of Monday, Gilberto Gil’s daughter posted a message on a social network to calm fans. “Loves, rest assured! I’m being well cared for and I’ll be at home soon. I love you!” He wrote in a post.
Three days before being hospitalized, Preta took a bath in Salvador. She, who is undergoing cancer, explained to followers that she had medical release to go to the beach and take a dip.
Preta was discharged on February 11, after almost two months hospitalized at Syrian Lebanese, in São Paulo. In December, she underwent delicate surgery to remove tumors. Black was diagnosed with bowel cancer (also called colorectal cancer) in early 2023.
