Impressive images of the shooting of Hollywood production “Odyssey” in Messinia continue to see the light of publicity, under the guidance of Oscar -winning director Christopher Nolan. Since last Thursday, the magnificent “Nestor Cave”, under the historic Paleokastro and next to the excellent beach of Voidokilia, has turned into a backdrop for the big film.

There, in the wild beauty of the landscape, the legendary scene with Cyclops Polyphemos will be shot, with Matt Damon embodied Odysseus. The area, rough and distant, offers an atmosphere that seems to have sprung from ancient mythology, while social networks leaked images that capture the huge scale of production.

Among the photos stand out images of a herd of sheep, who are trained to participate in the film, adding a special natural feel to the already enchanting atmosphere of the place. Impressive is the puppet who will represent Cyclops Polyphemos, a giant construction, bearing the stamp of Hollywood’s imagination and grandeur.
