Juliana Oliveira, who accuses Otávio Mesquita of rape at SBT, pronounces for the first time

Comedian Juliana Oliveira has spoken for the first time since she entered a criminal representation at the São Paulo Public Prosecution Service against the presenter Otávio Mesquita. She accuses him of rape during the recording of The Night, led by Danilo Gentili on SBT.

In Instagram’s stories, Juliana stated that making her pain public and seeking justice was a difficult decision. “At this moment, I choose the silence to protect myself, organize my feelings, get away from the judgments of the internet and find support from my family,” he wrote.

“When I feel ready, I’ll talk – not to appear, but to encourage other women to report any kind of abuse,” he said.

According to the complaint, the images and the transcription of the program dialogues aired on April 25, 2016 show that Mesquita touched the breasts and intimate parts of Juliana, even though she trying to dodge and showing contrary to the situation.

Mesquita denied the rape and said to Monica Bergamo’s column that it was a joke informally combined among them before the filming began.

“It’s absurd [essa acusação]. That was recorded. She took nine years and did it only now because she was fired and is upset, “he said. Mesquita also states that he has not received any notification about the representation and will sue Juliana for the damage caused to his image. He also pronounced via social networks.

Juliana was part of The Night’s cast as a stage assistant for ten years-of 2014, when she left Band to accompany Gentili at the release of the talk show until last year. In February of this year, the comedian, who was a varying Variety reporter, was dismissed from the station.
