MTV EMA: Ed Sheeran and BTS are big winners of the year; see list

Ed Sheeran, 30, and BTS were the big names at the MTV EMA 2021, which took place this Sunday night (14), in Hungary. Although the award is European, artists from other continents are also remembered and, in the case of Brazil, Manu Gavassi, 28, took the award for best Brazilian artist.

Manu, who went to the event and presented the award for best alternative artist, surpassed Anitta, Ludmilla, Luísa Sonza and Pabllo Vittar. “Winning the EMA at this point in my career really seems like a dream. It makes me believe that everything is worth being yourself,” celebrated the singer.

One of the main winners, however, was Briton Ed Sheeran, who also performed at the event. He won the coveted best artist of the year and best song of the year trophies for “Bad Habit”. South Korean group BTS snapped up three statuettes: best pop artist, best group and best K-pop.
