Anitta, 32, posted on Instagram a video that asks for the demarcation of the indigenous lands on Wednesday (9). According to the singer, the measure is essential to ensure water that supplies the primary sector.

“Without forest, there is no rain. Without rain, there is no agro. And without agro, there is no food or economy,” he said.

Anitta participates in the campaign “Indigenous Brazil, Land Demarcated”, along with other celebrities such as Juliette, Gloria Pires, Djavan, Marcos Palmeira, Dira Paes, Shaman and Klebber Toledo.

The businesswoman said that there are people wanting to use the territory of the original peoples to “mining, mining, hydroelectric. But if this happens, what will miss is water, there will be lack of food, there will be left disaster,” he said, “and then the price explodes and everyone pays the bill.”

For her, the indigenous people are primarily responsible for keeping the forest standing that, in turn, “keeps the economy spinning.”

The campaign is led by indigenous media, articulation of the indigenous peoples of Brazil (APIB), National Articulation of Warrior Women of Ancestry (Angel) and the Socio -Environmental Institute (ISA).

The movement takes place the same week that the Terra Livre Camp (ATL) 2025, the largest indigenous mobilization in the world, in Brasilia. One of the camp’s guidelines is the struggle against the temporal framework, ruralist thesis that threatens the constitutional rights of the original peoples and can further aggravate the climate crisis.

For Anitta, “demarcate indigenous lands and protect what really matters. Food on the table, water in the tap and the future of Brazil.”
