Ministry of Health Rebate criticism from Jojo Todynho to SUS: ‘What was this?’

The Ministry of Health decided to enter the controversy involving Jojo Todynho and Cariúcha in the last days on social networks. The episode began with the criticism of the champion of Fazenda 12 to people who defend the Unified Health System during an interview with a podcast.

It was not long before the host of the SBT gossip, to counter the comments without directing the singer directly: “Stomach surgery did not just decrease the size of the person. The brain also decreased.” In August 2023, Jojo Todynho had a bariatric surgery and lost more than 80 kg.

Already this Friday (11), the Ministry of Health decided to position itself unusually: published a booklet on social networks by counteracting Jojo’s statements and reinforcing the importance of SUS for the health of the Brazilian population.

The organ used the singer’s famous staff – “What shot was that?” -To mock her and even made a pun with her name: “A wrong criticism came to SUS.” In addition, the post also praised the attitude of Cariúcha, using the presenter’s slogan: “I’m all natural, beautiful to damn.”

“What is this one that was a wrong criticism on the internet, but soon came the answer: all natural, beautiful to damn and very correct,” wrote the official profile. “‘Just talk about SUS who doesn’t use it.’ This statement is a liar. According to research, the SUS is better evaluated by those who use it most. And in addition, even those who have health insurance uses SUS,” he added.

In the booklet, in addition to enumerating SUS’s attributions, the ministry pointed out that the system is a reference in Brazil and inspiration for the world, citing initiatives such as the Family Health Strategy, the fight against HIV/AIDS and the smoking control program.

“SUS has also inspired other countries, such as the United Kingdom, which evaluates implementing a family health -related strategy, acting by agents in the communities. SUS is for all of us! Even when you don’t realize, SUS is there – free, universal and essential,” the publication concluded.
