With an eye on the beauty market, Anitta was surprised to try to register with her stage name a line of cosmetic products. Three companies try to block the initiative because they consider that the brand would look very similar to theirs, which could confuse consumers.

The process began in 2022, when the singer’s team filed a brand registration process at INPI (National Institute of Industrial Property). The idea was to lend the singer’s reputation to products such as lipsticks, lip sparkles, shampoos, conditioners and deodorants, among others.

They were opposed to the singer’s request to Anita Perfumery Products and Cosmetics, the Indian brand owners of Cosmetic products Neeta and the Farmochemistry company, which produces the medicine for Annita worms. The latter, in addition to the spelling with two Enes and one Ter, also has a record with an ENE and two we have, just like the singer signs.

This week, after the subject viralizes on the internet, the advisory of singer Anitta published a note on social networks highlighting that the registration of pharmochemistry is valid only for medicines and with the spelling with which the medicine is sold. It also says that it was the pharmacist who tried to record the same as the singer in 2022 for the same products that the singer intended to launch.

This, however, does not appear in a survey by INPI at the request of the F5where the last registration request made by the company was from 2008. The oldest of the brand, with both spellings, are from 2004.

In addition, in the process, Farmochemica questions the registration intended by the singer, among other reasons, as he owns the drug network. The company’s lawyers say that, also selling perfumery products and cosmetics, both would be from the same branch of activity.

Both Anitta’s request and the oppositions of the three companies are still under review by INPI.

Sought by the report, Farmochemistry said only that the Annita drug is “in full compliance with industrial property legislation, being recognized and used throughout the national territory for over 20 years”. The company also states that “there is no dispute involving the brand in relation to this medicine.”

THE F5 also Contact Anitta’s advisory, but received no response until the last update of this text.
