Moda Vieira, Miss São Paulo 2024 winner, filed a lawsuit against the goal – office responsible for Instagram, after being the target of a series of racist comments on social networks shortly after winning the title.

The court decision established a fine of $ 50,000 if not met. The goal was to identify, via IP addresses, those responsible for racist comments and allow them to respond criminally for the acts. The measure was taken at the end of 2023, but the consequences of the case still reverberate.
In the response sent to the São Paulo Court of Justice, the goal claimed that seven of the accounts cited no longer exist – probably deactivated or deleted by the users themselves, and that another 11 demands “additional information” to be located.
Despite the favorable decision, Milla’s defense, represented by lawyer Eduardo Barbosa, pointed out that one of the racist publications still remains active. At the end of February 2025, he requested the application of the fine stipulated by the court for breach of the order.
Parallel to civil action, the criminal sphere also moves. One of the men accused of racial injury for calling the model “Miss Cracolândia” was identified by the Civil Police and gave testimony at the Sectional Police Station of Avaré, São Paulo.
Sought by the report, the goal replied that it will not comment on the case.
