Richard Gir and Michel Rodriguez are going to star in the Left Seat survival thriller, directed by Ben Younger.

According to Deadline, the script is signed by David M. Crabtree with recent modifications by the director.

The film follows “a representative of a pharmaceutical company (Rodriguez) in a nightmarish situation when the pilot of the small chartered plane on which he aboys suddenly loses his senses in flight. Forced to take control of the aircraft, the protagonist should rely on the unexpected help of a stranger (Gree) via radio. The battle for survival culminates as they are called upon to navigate through deadly thunderstorms and land the plane before fuel is exhausted. “

The production of the film is undertaken by Mandalay Pictures President Jason Michael Berman through his new A/Vantage Pictures company. Also involved are the director and David M. Crabtree.

Anton will handle international sales of the film, while WME Independent will take over sales for North America.

Left Seat is expected to be one of the most talked about projects to be presented at the upcoming Marche du Film in Cannes, attracting the interest of distributors and investors from around the world.
