Kate, the UK Princess, said nature has been her sanctuary over the past year, in which she underwent chemotherapy in cancer treatment.

In a video published in the X, which showed images of her and her husband, Prince William, heir of the throne, as well as British landscapes, Kate talked about the importance of the natural world for her.

“In the last year, nature has been my sanctuary,” she said in the video released to mark the Mental Health Awareness Week, an important campaign of the couple. “The ability of the natural world to inspire us, nourishing us and helping us to heal and grow is unlimited and has been understood by generations.”

It was almost a year ago that 43 -year -old Kate made the dramatic announcement that she would undergo chemotherapy after examinations revealed the presence of an unspecified form of cancer. In January last year, she underwent abdominal surgery.

The princess completed the treatment cycle in September and said earlier this year that the disease is in remission.

Last month, Kate and William visited a picturesque Scottish island to celebrate their 14th wedding anniversary. Images of this visit appeared in the video.

“Spring is a Renaissance, hope and new beginning season after the dark days of winter. The outside world silently awakens with a new life, and a feeling of optimism, anticipation and positive and hopeful change arises,” she said.

“Just as nature revives and renews itself, we can. We will reconnect with nature and celebrate a new dawn in our hearts.”
