Carla Marins, 56, has been away from Globo since 2013, but now it is no longer. She has just signed a contract with the broadcaster to play in “Three Graces”, Aguinaldo Silva’s soap opera that will replace “Vale Tudo” from October at 21h.
“He had been following the replay of ‘Love Story’ (1995-1996) and lit here a desire to go back to work,” she tells her F5. “Shortly thereafter, news came about the soap opera and the choice of Aguinaldo’s plot cast. Certainly one thing pulled the other and, luckily, the production of the soap opera was in the same tune.”
The actress says she still knows little about the new character, but is excited. “I know she will be a businesswoman. She will be called xenic … hilarious,” he says, laughing. “I’m excited because I’m going to work with Aguinaldo once again, who gave me the Judith of ‘Porto dos Miracles’ (2001), another character I like a lot in my career. His plots have a lot of fantastic realism – and I love it.”
Despite having been out of the station for over a decade, Carla’s face was no longer seen there. As she herself recalled, the replay of “Love Story”, a television drama classic, is airing in the afternoon. The role in Manoel Carlos’s plot is considered by Carla one of the most important of his artistic trajectory.
His character, Joyce, had a conflicting relationship with his mother, Helena, played by Regina Duarte, and got pregnant without planning a boy who rejected her after learning the news. At the time, the young woman was hated by many and was even pointed out as an example other than followed.
“Joyce was very believable,” recalls the actress, who attributes to this sometimes she was cursed and that she had her attention caught on the streets. “She owns an incredible dramatic force, which demanded me a lot as an interpreter. It was a challenge because I was 27 at the time and was making a girl of 20! But Maneco was very happy in building the character: he gave me all the leaves, and I just dived.”
Carla, who even played with Narjara Turetta, the role of the girl Elisa in the cultured series “Malu Mulher” (1979), left Globo in 2009, after 22 years of work at the station, to play Serafina Rosa, protagonist of SBT’s soap opera “A Rosa with Love” (2010).
“At the time, it was not very common to change stations, right?”, Comments the actress. “But good characters attract me. I’m not afraid to act and throw me into things. I have always ran behind and I think life has trained me a little to be so.”
She also returned to Globo the following year for “Morde and Assopra” (2011) and joined the cast of “Workout: Intense as Life” (2012-2013) before going to live other roles in series and biblical plots of Record. The last one was “Genesis” in 2021. Since then, the actress has been charged by fans of her return to TV.
Married 20 years ago to personal trainer Hugo Baltazar, 45, and mother of Leon, 16, Carla comments that she thinks weird when people say she abandoned her career for a while. “In fact, I will slow down and sought shorter projects because I wanted to experience motherhood at 40 without sharing so much,” he explains.
At this time away from the screen, the actress says she graduated from theory of theory and taken several courses. “I believe I have acquired self -knowledge, self -regulation and a feeling of belonging with the world around me,” he says.
