Influencer Leo Paiva says he had lived one of the most difficult moments of his career during his time in Cannes, France. Invited to cover the traditional film festival with the “The Northeastern Podcast around the world”, he was the victim of a theft and had all the equipment taken.
The loss, according to him, exceeds $ 100,000. “Everything I built in years has left in minutes,” he vented, thrilled.
The case happened on Sunday (18), while Leo was heading to the premiere of “The Secret Agent”, a film starring Wagner Moura. The car where his equipment was was broken into a parking lot. “It was a theoretically safe place. They broke the car’s glass and took everything. My three cameras, notebook, macbook, hard drives, podcast table, microphones, cases, backpacks. They left nothing,” he lamented.
Even shaken, Leo tried to fulfill the agenda and went to the place of the interview with Wagner Moura. However, when starting the conversation with the actor, he collapsed emotionally. “I went anyway because I didn’t want them to stolen my dream of interviewing Wagner too. But I started crying, I couldn’t continue. He realized I wasn’t well.”
Sensitive to what happened, Wagner Moura welcomed him and promised to reschedule the interview in Brazil. “He gave me support and said we are in Salvador to do it calmly. It was very generous with me,” said the influencer, in the videos he published on his social networks.
