In his first soap opera on TV Globo, “Seventh Guardian”, Nany People met the famous kindness and also the good mood of Tony Ramos, castmate. “Be very welcome, my daughter,” he greeted. Then he advised the actress to always have the text decorated to make life easier for the technical team. And he finished, “Everything is worth, for the 30th, my daughter.”

The story with the veteran actor is one of those told by Nany in the autobiographical book “Being Woman is not for anyone – the saga continues,” which she launched on the eve of turning 60. The book was written in partnership with journalist Flavio Queiroz.

Before the soap opera, the actress had already made several guest appearances on TV shows, including as a reporter for Hebe and participant of “The Farm,” the reality of Record. However, interpreting transsexual Marcos Paulo in prime time was an important step in the artistic trajectory, and the reception of Tony Ramos helped to reduce nervousness.

“I appealed to humor whenever life told me no,” she says in the book. Created in Poços de Caldas (MG), Nany faced bullying at school, difficulties to be understood by his father, losses of friends and four dogs he raised as children.

In the autobiography, it recalls the years of presentations in nightclubs in São Paulo and the country, the transition from drag queen to trans women and the right to change the name and gender in the birth certificate, by decision of the Supreme Court (STF), in 2018.

“Before, someone discovering my baptismal name was a stone in my glass,” he says. “Now, no longer concerns me.”

Nany talks about his passion for Sao Paulo, a city where he came to build his career and where he received the title of citizen, at the initiative of former councilor Soninha Francine.

In São Paulo, he worked for almost 20 years at the Tunnel Tunnel nightclub and was a waitress at the legendary Café Piu Piu, Bixiga, central city.

A resident of Bela Vista, the actress celebrates, in the book, the possibility of also bought an apartment in Poços de Caldas and tells that she helped many acquaintances in the pandemic, when she survived bank loans and participation in Lives.

At that time, Nany rediscovered the pleasure of taking care of his own home and decided to live more lightly, without accumulating so many clothes and objects.

“I even found three Gogo Boys of the 1990s lost inside the wardrobe. I did such a big boot that one day I almost went together,” he jokes. “I stayed with myself. I and my three dogs: fun, Naomi and Achilles. I watched all the Netflix series. I read Rita Lee’s book.

The singer of Pará is one of the great passions of Nany People. She is both fan and friend of Fafá.

“This uncontrollable passion arose after I heard a speech about freedom. The speech had a strength that impacted me too much,” he recalls.

Then the admiration increased when he saw a magazine cover in which the singer appeared with an arrangement made of Christmas balls on her head.

“It was like I heard a call: Come here. You can be happy being who you are.”

Nany sings her friend’s repertoire on the show “Tailor” and, turns and moves, has her participation in interviews and honors.

“She is one of the most complete artists in this country,” said Fafá, this week, in participation in the “Meeting with Patrícia Poet”

Another inspiration is Lilia Cabral, who Nany saw in the theater in “Happy Year old” and never forgot. The two played in “The Seventh Guardian” and became friends.

“Lilia Cabral took care of me so much,” he reveals.
