Valentine’s Day: Otaviano Costa and Flávia Alessandra interview and talk about love

The year was 2006. On board a ship, Otaviano Costa, at the time 34, knew the host and actress Flávia Alessandra, then 33. According to him, if this moment could become a feature film title, this would be “good mood at first sight”.

“Lightness, laughs and games have always been very evident. This helps to maintain this love and this marriage,” he says in response to a question asked by his beloved.

Upon returning home after intense days next to him who would become her husband, Flavia says she could no longer stop thinking about him. From this union was born Olivia, today 14 years old.

“It is a partnership even that we established, of this exchange, this fans for each other, of this thing of dividing doubts, afflictions, insecurities. It is a safe haven,” defines the actress, who prepares to return to playing villain Sandra “êta Mundo Best” (Globo).

At the invitation of F5the couple, who celebrates the 18th Valentine’s Day, accepted the challenge of asking questions to each other with the theme they wanted. Both decided that the questions should be about love and complicity between them.

Flávia’s questions: When did you realize you were completely in love with me?
Otavian: That’s when I arrived at your house, we still dating and met your world, Giulia [filha]as you related to the people around you, your family. And there was a simple moment that revealed a lot what our relationship would be like. You served me a snack, I was in your room and you came back with a tray with a little juice, all very cute, I thought it was a punctual whim for our approach, and then I found out that it was a feature of yours that still holds today. This affection, whim in the little things between us, made me completely in love with you.

If our story were a romance movie, what would be the ideal title?
Otavian: ‘Good mood at first glance’. From the first scene of our meetings and connections, the lightness, laughter and games have always been very evident. And how lucky for a couple to have this in common and turn into a pillar of the relationship. This helps to lead life and even to maintain this love and this marriage. This good mood has to be on display all the time.

What did you learn about love after you started living with me?
Otavian: You have expanded my understanding of true love, not only of body, mouth, kiss, sex, which we still have it strongly among us, but the love of partnership, companionship, the one who goes to the same fate even with different personalities. The love you understand, accepts more for each other, of understanding, respect. Larger love, affection for care, who realizes that the other is tired and put a pillow to lie down. Love of those who call to have a little wine together. A more powerful and more solid love. You taught me a love I didn’t know.

Do you have any music that, when you play, do you remember us? Why?
Otavian: There is one that I often remember the moment, the situation and the place, which is where it all started. On board the ship Costa Fortuna, 18 years ago, presenting an event where we met and in this event had as main song ‘Beautiful Day’, from U2. Every time I touch my place immediately in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea, and beside me was the actress and presenter that I didn’t know yet that it would be the woman of my life.

Octavian questions: When was you sure I was ‘the guy’ to share life?
Flávia: I can say that after we lived intensely [no navio]When I arrived, I missed you not only in the physical sense, but because, in a short time, we created complicity of exchange, of conversation. We set it right away and I missed that, which is a great positive factor we have in the relationship. This complicity, partnership, exchange. I believe that not every relationship has, but ours has. I wanted to be there talking and switching with you.

Is there any of mine that at first annoyed you and today you find it cute?
Flávia: I don’t think so. There is something I already realized, that you live a little in Narnia, about 99%. So when you say things, you ask again, you understand it wrong, you are always aerial with little head, I don’t know where you are. It’s something I already find funny when I ask myself with surprise face. I have this because I really forget, and you because of being off, inhabited in Narnia, as a friend of ours says.

If you could relive one of our trips, which one would choose and why?
Flávia: It would be Greece because it was a delicious trip for two, and to a beach destination I love. We connect with those natural beauties. I remember that we rented a very tasty cart, we went through, bought pinching, took to the beach. It was a very hot trip.

What do you think further strengthens our relationship to this day?
Flávia: In addition to thinking similar, which is a factor in favor, our ideals, plans, are the same, without combining. This facilitates. Much of this comes from this partnership even if we established, this exchange, this fans for each other, this thing of dividing doubts, afflictions, insecurities. It is a safe haven. In addition to our relationship, our family and our home, it all only strengthens us.

What was the simplest surprise – and remarkable – that I already did you?
Flávia: You, now and then do it, right? We make surprises to each other. But the one I remember most is that of my painting. The story is that at the beginning of the relationship, I loved going to a bar that had a painting that I loved and said to be me, from Isabelle Tuchband, who shows a woman smoking and saying, ‘Smoking I wait for the man from my life.’ And I said it was me. I was going to this bar just to see this picture. On one birthday I get home and there was my painting with us to this day. You went there at the bar, bargain, certainly bought for a fortune, the guy must have inflated a lot. I never returned to the bar, because I already have him here and every day I look at him.
