Movies for World Music Day on SKAI

Two separate music productions on music, “Pitch 2” (“Pitch Perfect 2”, 2015) and “The Blues Brothers” (1980), broadcasts SKAI on Saturday 21 June, World Music Day.

A light comedy full of music and dance, who was nominated for Grammy Best Compilation Soundtrack, is “Pitch 2” (“Pitch Perfect 2”, 2015) that comes to our screens at 14.40. Directed by Elizabeth Banks we watch the return of Beka (Anna Kendrik), Amy (Rebel Wilson) and the rest of the band in its most pop version! After a scandal that threatened to blow up in their last year in college, the champions for three years feel that they have lost their pace. Now, they have only one and only opportunity to save their reputation: they have to beat the leading band on the planet, the German super-Group “Das Sound Machine” at the A Cappella World Championship. To stay at the top they will need to find the melody of success they feel they have lost.

At 01.00 the Blues Brothers get the bat! The episodic musical comedy, which became a cult classic, brings together great music names such as James Brown, Ray Charles, Cab Calloway, Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan and John Lee Hooker. In this we see Jake (John Belusi) and Elgund (Dan Akroid) on a divine mission: to save bankruptcy the universal orphanage in which they grew up. To do so, they need $ 5,000 but they do not have. What they have? Endless talent, endless patience in hardships and a band that … still “has it”! The top names of the music scene involved were not used to pretending to be singing. This resulted in most singing scenes watching performers singing live!
