Adele tells Oprah Winfrey her ex-husband saved her life: ‘I trust him’

Adele, 33, has nothing but love and gratitude for her ex-husband, Simon Knecki, 47. She spoke openly about the breakup in an interview with Oprah Winfrey, 67, last Sunday (14), and that she is extremely grateful for her marriage and her son Angelo, 9.

“I think Simon probably saved my life, to be honest with you,” Adele mused. “He came at such a moment, where the stability that he and Angelo gave me, no one else would have been able to give me,” he said.

The singer spoke of the meteoric rise to fame at a very young age and which could have been lost if she hadn’t had Knecki by her side at that time. “I could have easily followed some dubious paths, you know?”

Adele said her ex-husband provided stability during a time of incredible turmoil. “He came in and was stable. The most stable person I’ve ever had in my life so far. Even now, I trust him with my life.” She added that Konecki and her son are “angels sent” to her.

The artist revealed that while she and her ex-husband are loving parents, the hardest part of the divorce was explaining the separation to her son, who was 6 at the time. “So there were so many answers I just couldn’t give him because there aren’t any. Like, you know, he would understand.”

Adele filed for divorce from Konecki in September 2019, months after the split. There have been rumors that she is dating British rapper Skepta, but is now in a relationship with famous sports agent Rich Paul, 39.

“[Rich Paul] it’s hilarious and very smart. You know, he’s really, really smart. It’s amazing to see him do what he does. And just the ease [do relacionamento]. It’s just been really good. “

The singer releases the new album “30” on November 19, after a six-year hiatus. The first single from “30”, “Easy on me” was released on October 15th, which broke Spotify’s record as the most listened to song in a single day in the history of the streaming platform.
