The world of music mourns the death of Ozzy Osbourne who passed away at the age of 76 on Tuesday, July 22. This Sunday, we will have the opportunity to see for the first time on Greek television, the ultimate documentary on his life, The Nine Lives of Ozzy Osbourne, through SKAI (00.30, shortly after the Big Brother final).

Ozzy Osbourne’s life has gone through the eyes of the public for decades, either through the first live of Black Sabbath, the innovative Heavy Metal band formed in the late ’60s, or through the MTV series, The Osbournes.

His story, from the famous bite to the head of a bat during a concert in Iowa, to urination in the historical area of Alamos – has been said again and again through a Behind the Music documentary. But in The Nine Lives of Ozzy OsbourneOzzy himself opens his heart. He talks about his childhood in Birmingham, England, about his gradual sinking into the madness, how the “prince of darkness” became and finally a legendary form of the world rock scene.

The documentary looks at his childhood, his love for the Beatles and how he met Tony Iommi, Bill Ward and Geezer Butler, with whom he founded Black Sabbath, one of Heavy Metal’s most iconic and decisive bands. He also presents his removal from the band, his acquaintance with Sharon (who became his manager and later his wife), and the impressive solo career that began with the help of guitarist Randy Rhoads.

The film does not avoid the dark sides of Ozzy. From the well -known bat with the bat (who claims he thought he was false), to bite on the head of a dove during a business meeting, urinating in the area of Alamos, and his constant struggle with dependencies.

Tune in on Sunday night at 00.30 on SKAI TV. The documentary will be available on demand then on SKAI’s Hybrid TV and www.skai.gr/tv/.
