In her first show after the death of Preta Gil, Ivete Sangalo cried by paying tribute to the singer, who was a great friend.
“I offer you black, with all my love, this presentation and all who come,” he said, among tears, on Saturday night (26), in Fortaleza (CE). “I know you are in a place of light.”
Ivete stated that Preta made everyone “well equipped” to deal with death. To the fans, he confided that he was crying because death is recent.
With his embargoed voice, Ivete sang “Signs of Fire”, one of the hits of her friend’s musical career, which was also honored with photos on the electric trio.
The artist remembered the courage of Preta. “I couldn’t have the courage to come here today.”
“Glad we met here. I fell in love with you the same time we were. It was fulminant and is still,” Ivete said shortly after the news about death. “I can’t understand this news about your departure. Your light is so strong that even with all this madness it strengthens us.”
Also thrilled, the mother singer, married with good gil, sang “I know I will love you” in honor of her sister -in -law at the festival, in SĂ£o Paulo, this Saturday.
“I am a shard. Choked soul, thug heart, the different colors, but the children gave me telepathic wisdom,” he said.
On Friday (25), Alcione honored Gilberto Gil’s daughter in a show held in Rio de Janeiro. The presentation took place on the same day that Preta was veiled at the municipal Theater, with the presence of fans, friends and family.
Preta had the veteran, with whom he had a close relationship as a reference.
“I wanted to tell you that this show is dedicated to my black daughter Gil. May Our Lady and the Divine Holy Spirit be with her,” the sambista told the audience while photos were shown on the big screen.
